Vitamin A palmitate is a form of vitamin A. It's found in animal products, such as liver, eggs, and cheese. It's also called preformed vitamin A and retinyl palmitate. Vitamin A palmitate is available as a manufactured supplement. Unlike some forms of vitamin A, vitamin A palmitate is a retinoid (retinol). Retinoids are bioavailable substances. This means they are easily absorbed into the body and used efficiently.
